Bikes, Bikes, Bikes

Finally, I am getting more of the photos from Christmas off the camera (well these ones where on my iphone) . Piper and Tristan asked Santa for bikes, and the big guy did not let them down. It was so awesome that the weather was nice enough to actually ride them over the Christmas holidays. I thought we would be riding them in the basement. I think the smiles say it all! Boy do we love Santa!

PS Once Piper passed Tristan she hasn't let him go in the lead ever again! She is a very competetive little girl and she wants to be out front!

Countdown to Santa!

On Sunday afternoon we set up the Christmas tree. Last year we set it up in the basement because we were afraid the twins would pull it down. I didn't like it though because I never really got to enjoy the tree as I rarely make it down to the basement, so this year we thought we'd give it a try having it upstairs. We decided to only put a few decorations on it and yes they have slowly be put up higher and higher. We have made a few "twin friendly" decorations that are down low.

Christmas 2010

It was a whole week of Christmas at the Giles house. Aunite Jenn came to visit so we celebrated Christmas a little early with her on the 20th. Granny cooked an awesome Turkey Dinner. Then we got on with the presents! Granny, Piper and her new baby.

Then Austin and Harmony came to stay, so we did it all again. This time with Christmas morning waffles and whipped cream... then onto the presents... again!

What a wonderful week of Christmas, but now we are back to us four. We spent a very quiet Christmas day in our p.j.'s...and now it is boxing day and it is shaping up to be another wonderful p.j. day. We feel very blessed to have such a wonderful family and we are all looking forward to 2011 and what it might bring. We wish all the best for all our family and friends and look forward to seeing you all in 2011.

Slipper fun!

Yesterday I got out the twins new Christmas slippers. I honestly wasn't sure they would even wear them, but they were so darn cute I just had to buy them. Reindeer for Tristan and little pink mice for Piper. They love, love, loved them. We couldn't get Piper to take hers off at bed time. Tristan was beside himself, he loved them so much. He wouldn't even sit still for the photo. Or maybe it was couldn't. Maybe the reindeer just had to dance and prance!

Christmas comes early!

Christmas came early to our house. We were at Toys r us a couple of weeks ago and we saw these cars. I put Piper in the pink one and she loved it. In fact, so much that when I took her out of the car she had a huge temper tantrum. We didn't get the cars that day, but we did get them a week or so later. Daddy did a great job of putting them together. The horns honk and it is so comical to see how the twins "steer".

We thought since the weather has been so beautiful that it would be fun to have the cars now instead of waiting until Christmas when there the roads would be bad! LOL
