Teething & drooling!

Today we are all about teething! Piper is working on both top front teeth at the same time. You can see them both, but they are very tiny. She wouldn't crack a smile for me when I was taking the photos this morning. I'm really not sure what teeth (tooth?) Tristan is working on, but boy is he drooling! It was fun to put them in the booster chairs with the trays. They seemed to like sitting and playing (chewing) on the new discovery toy blocks.

No smile today!

Pool time Fun!

Today the twins and I went to Walmart and got a paddle pool! I was glad I found my yoga ball pump to blow it up. There is no way I have enough air to blow one of these things up! I didn't have the energy to heat up water for it so, I just put the twins in it and they played. They seemed quite happy to play in it without water. Another time we will try it with water.

Not going to bed...just want to play!

We're not going to bed ! What is granny's rule on that one. As long as you are quiet and play nicely you can stay up... and so they did...

New booster chairs!

I've been wanting to get booster chairs for the twins and today there was a sale at Baby R Us. A pink princess chair for Piper and a super hero chair for Tristan. They are meant to attach to chairs so they can sit up to the table with the big people. I wanted to have them to use at the Giles family reunion on July 1st. I didn't think it would be too fun having to hold them through two meals; lunch and supper. Who knew they would have another good use. The twins loved sitting in them up to the new play table. They actually sat and played together for quite a long time.

Of course, Tristan had to stop playing every once in a while to suck his thumb.

We love peas!

We love peas! We love peas! I have been trying to get the twins to eat baby food peas for sometime now, but they hated it. The texture is really quite gross, so I had the idea today to give them cooked baby peas. They are about the same size as the cheerios that they have been chewing so I figured they could handle them. They gobbled them up! Not like my sister Jenn who used to hide them under her plate or anywhere else she could find to hide them, they actually ate them!

Learning to stand up!

Piper & Tristan got a new activity table today. As you can see they both loved it. They are starting to be able to stand for short amounts of time on their own. Their legs do get a bit weak and they wobble, but they are getting stronger. Piper got to play with the table first and I think she thought it was only hers. When Tristan came over for his turn she put up quite a fuss. Me thinks this will not be the last time they fight over toys!

Not going to bed!

Last night the twins decided that they would not go to bed at their usual 7 pm time. Rather they thought they would like to stay up late. The photos are what they looked like at 8:30 pm just before daddy and mommy took them for a drive in the truck! Mommy and daddy got DQ and the twins fell asleep!

Today Piper did a great job of holding both her bottle and her sippy cup.

She likes the taste of water while Tristan cringes at the taste of it.

Tristan didn't want to hold the sippy cup.

He just wanted to eat his cookie! One in each hand!
