Learning to stand up!

Piper & Tristan got a new activity table today. As you can see they both loved it. They are starting to be able to stand for short amounts of time on their own. Their legs do get a bit weak and they wobble, but they are getting stronger. Piper got to play with the table first and I think she thought it was only hers. When Tristan came over for his turn she put up quite a fuss. Me thinks this will not be the last time they fight over toys!

Not going to bed!

Last night the twins decided that they would not go to bed at their usual 7 pm time. Rather they thought they would like to stay up late. The photos are what they looked like at 8:30 pm just before daddy and mommy took them for a drive in the truck! Mommy and daddy got DQ and the twins fell asleep!

Today Piper did a great job of holding both her bottle and her sippy cup.

She likes the taste of water while Tristan cringes at the taste of it.

Tristan didn't want to hold the sippy cup.

He just wanted to eat his cookie! One in each hand!

Visiters

We have been very busy since we got back from White Rock. On Wednesday my friend Cathy R came to visit. It was great to have a visit while the twins napped and then Cathy got to have a play with them both. Then on Thursday the twins and I headed to Three Hills School to meet the class I will teach next year. The Tim Horton donuts were a hit! It was great to see many of my old students and friends.

Toes in the ocean!

The sun was back shining today so we headed down to White Rock wharf to see the ocean and the big white rock. Both Piper and Tristan dipped their toes in the ocean. Brrrrr cold!

The big white rock is behind us. Notice how both of the babies are looking down at the water.

We stopped for a bottle on a park bench looking out at the ocean.

Rain, rain go away!

Today was all about farmers markets. First we went to the local White Rock farmers market and then we decided to go to Granville Island Market. We originally had planned on going down to the ocean and pier at White Rock, but it was too cold and rainy today. Hopefully, the sun will shine tomorrow and we will go to the ocean.

Piper & Tristan got into the spirit of the day.

Both babies found the inside of the market quite loud, so we found a tent outside for our snack break.

This was my view from the back seat. (Acting as navigator)

Piper & Tristan both loved having mommy sit in the back with them.

Fun in the sun!

Yesterday was very overcast and rainy, but it didn't stop us from having adventure. We headed to Fort Langley to check out the antique stores. Look out granny, Piper was eyeing china patterns. Then, we head into Langley for lunch. Then we spent a bit of time lost. Missed one turn on the way back to White Rock! Luckily the twins napped most of the time we were lost.
The stroller cover seems to be a hit with Piper, not sure if Tristan loves it as much. This was the only photo I took all day yesterday!

Today was the first day of daddy's course, so after dropping him off the twins and I headed out for some fun on our own.

First we hit the beach ; mommy needed a coffee.

Then we walked to the park and played on the swings. Oh how we love the swings.

Then it was time to meet daddy for lunch.

After lunch we went and did laundry. While it washed/dried we played on the blanket outside.
It was a beautiful sunny day, even though the weather man said it was going to be rainy!

Vancouver here we come!

Sorry I didn't blog yesterday. Too tired! The flight to Vancouver went o.k. Tristan was awesome, not a peep out of him, as always he was Mr. Smiles. Piper on the other hand, was rather miserable, which if you saw her in the airport before the flight you would have thought was impossible. Basically as soon as the plane was off the ground she started crying ! She stopped for about 15 minutes and then as soon as the captain said we were preparing to land she started again which was about the last 30 minutes. She started smiling as soon as we landed. Oh well, better luck on the way back!

Today the weather was beautiful! Who says it always rains here? We decided to head to the Vancouver Aquarium and Stanley Park. We had a ton of fun. We rode the train, looked at the fish, and even saw a racoon digging through garbage. Lots and lots of smiles today!

This is how one person can feed 2 hungry twins.

Two happy twins playing in the hotel room after a day of fun!
