Day 3 - Kew Gardens

Day 3 - Today we met Jessica and Aaron at Kew Gardens.  After our ususal picnic lunch we headed out to check out the gardens.  In addition to the gardens there was an indoor play area and a palace.

It was a fun day, but very tiring.  This photo of Tristan is about 2 minutes before he fell asleep and I had to carry him about 4 blocks to the restaurant we had supper at.

Day 2 - Market Day & Riding on a Double Decker Bus

Today we met up with Jessica and Aaron and spent some time at a local market.  The Olympic Flame was coming through later in the day so there was alot going on in the village.  After we had had enough we headed back to our rental house via a double decker bus.  The twins really enjoyed being up so high and being able to see so much.

Day 1 - London Eye

Day one in London was spent trying to figure out the tube system.  Yes, we may have got lost once or twice....ahhh! and going up on the London Eye.  So glad I purchased the Skip the Line tickets.  It was great to get to the eye and after picking up our tickets we were able to get right onto the eye.  There was quite the line we went right past!

View of Big Ben from the London Eye.  Pretty much every big clock we heard or saw in England the twins call "Big Ben".
There was an excellent adventure park at the base of the London Eye.  The twins had alot of fun playing with cousin Jessica.

Oh yes we had ice cream!

Parade Day in Acme

It was the annual Sports Day Parade in Acme on Saturday, so off we went to our 2nd ever parade.  Much better prepared may I add with bags for candy in toe.  Last year we didn't have any bags and we were shoving the candy that was thrown out into our pockets.
Quite a haul of candy!

Pool Fun!

It was a beautiful day so we thought we would get the paddle pool out.  What we didn't account for was that the twins had grown!  They literally have outgrown their paddle pool.  Fortuately Granny had bought us a bigger one that we had never blown up.  It took quite a while for daddy to blow it up, but once it was up boy oh boy did the twins have fun.

Easter Egg Hunt

We went on our very first egg hunt just before Easter. So much fun.

Potty Time!

I know, I know, I have not posted anything for quite a while. Life is shall we say very busy. We are pretty much potty trained now! So awesome! We can go out on outings and not even have to wear diapers. I bought a couple of travel pottys. They worked great on a road trip to Edmonton. Anyway, as always I will try harder to post more often.

Bikes, Bikes, Bikes

Finally, I am getting more of the photos from Christmas off the camera (well these ones where on my iphone) . Piper and Tristan asked Santa for bikes, and the big guy did not let them down. It was so awesome that the weather was nice enough to actually ride them over the Christmas holidays. I thought we would be riding them in the basement. I think the smiles say it all! Boy do we love Santa!

PS Once Piper passed Tristan she hasn't let him go in the lead ever again! She is a very competetive little girl and she wants to be out front!

Top 10 of 2011

I keep meaning to finish this blog - so here it is.
I started looking at the photos that I took over the last year and thought I would chose the top ten things we did. Impossible! So many more things than 10. Here are the events that I did choose.
Our new backyard slide!

Our first parade in Acme. Tristan thought it was more fun to snuggle with granny.

Visiting the zoo at Inisfail. The twins had only just discovered suckers at he parade a few days before.

The loss of Lee's dad. We are still recovering from this one! The twins loved going to see him in the hospital.

Canada day activities in DrumhellerOur new bouncer!

Turning 2!

Turning 2!

The pumpkin patch!

Halloween Elmo's

Decorating the Christmas tree!

Hangin with our big brother and sister!

There really were too many things to choose from. We had a marvelous summer taking swimming lessons with granny (which I never got one photo of oops), biking, going to the park almost everyday with granny and learning so much. Life is very full, and we are grateful for every moment with our beautiful twins!
