Easter Egg Hunt

We went on our very first egg hunt just before Easter. So much fun.

Potty Time!

I know, I know, I have not posted anything for quite a while. Life is shall we say very busy. We are pretty much potty trained now! So awesome! We can go out on outings and not even have to wear diapers. I bought a couple of travel pottys. They worked great on a road trip to Edmonton. Anyway, as always I will try harder to post more often.

Bikes, Bikes, Bikes

Finally, I am getting more of the photos from Christmas off the camera (well these ones where on my iphone) . Piper and Tristan asked Santa for bikes, and the big guy did not let them down. It was so awesome that the weather was nice enough to actually ride them over the Christmas holidays. I thought we would be riding them in the basement. I think the smiles say it all! Boy do we love Santa!

PS Once Piper passed Tristan she hasn't let him go in the lead ever again! She is a very competetive little girl and she wants to be out front!

Top 10 of 2011

I keep meaning to finish this blog - so here it is.
I started looking at the photos that I took over the last year and thought I would chose the top ten things we did. Impossible! So many more things than 10. Here are the events that I did choose.
Our new backyard slide!

Our first parade in Acme. Tristan thought it was more fun to snuggle with granny.

Visiting the zoo at Inisfail. The twins had only just discovered suckers at he parade a few days before.

The loss of Lee's dad. We are still recovering from this one! The twins loved going to see him in the hospital.

Canada day activities in DrumhellerOur new bouncer!

Turning 2!

Turning 2!

The pumpkin patch!

Halloween Elmo's

Decorating the Christmas tree!

Hangin with our big brother and sister!

There really were too many things to choose from. We had a marvelous summer taking swimming lessons with granny (which I never got one photo of oops), biking, going to the park almost everyday with granny and learning so much. Life is very full, and we are grateful for every moment with our beautiful twins!

Countdown to Santa!

On Sunday afternoon we set up the Christmas tree. Last year we set it up in the basement because we were afraid the twins would pull it down. I didn't like it though because I never really got to enjoy the tree as I rarely make it down to the basement, so this year we thought we'd give it a try having it upstairs. We decided to only put a few decorations on it and yes they have slowly be put up higher and higher. We have made a few "twin friendly" decorations that are down low.

Count down to Santa activities

Last night we made Christmas cookies as part of our count down to Santa activities.
The twins really liked cutting out the cookies , but the best part was putting on the sprinkles.
Sorry the photos are in backwards order. You get to see the final product then the how to. Don't you just love technology!

Santa 2011

I am trying harder to blog more often. Here we go...
On Saturday we went off to the CrossIron Mills Mall in search of Santa. Yes, the twins are well aware now of who Santa is and what he can do for them.
Question to Piper - "What are you going to ask Santa for?" Answer - "Bike" What color? Pink
What does Tristan want? Blue Bike.
Throughout all the questions Tristan just nods.
We had to stand in line for about 45 minutes. Well actually, Piper and Mommy stood in line and Daddy chased Tristan (aka Denise the menace) all over Bass Pro. When we finally got up to Santa of course Tristan said nothing and Piper did all the talking. Everything went great until Mommy stepped out of the picture frame. Then as you can see things were close to going badly.
