Spring?

We are starting to think that spring will never come here! Although this week we did see some glimpses of it. There were lots and lots of puddles on our sidewalks and streets and the twins really enjoyed playing in the puddles. Yesterday I decided (perhaps foolishly) that it would be fun to walk home from daycare with the twins. So I drove home, got their Elmo harnesses, and walked the block and half to daycare and picked them up. It was quite an exhausting walk. Their poor little legs could barely make it home. When we got to the house they were very tired and very hungry so we sat on the front step of the house and had a snack. They then had a little play in the puddles. Hurry up Spring!

Brushing our teeth!

Please ignore the disaster of a bathroom! This was taken just after bathtime!

I love how Tristan has his arm around Piper as they are both on on stool.

I can't believe it has been so long since I last blogged. Not sure where March has gone! Anyway, life goes on! When I first started the twins brushing their teeth several months ago they hated it. They gagged and complained and it was really not a very fun experience. To be honest I stopped doing it. I figured we'd deal with the cavities later. ( I do have a great dental plan) Well the other day they started asking for their tooth brushes, so I thought I would give it another go. So weird! Now they love it. They even let me get in there and really brush their teeth.

How we play!

People often ask me if the twins play together. The simple answer is ...we're working on it! Like any other toddlers, sometimes they play well together and other time they want the toy that the other has. Here are some action shots of several different days of playing. Playing kitchen at Granny and Opa's house.

Future caterer?

Piper playing with one of their many favourite toys.
She looks like an angel !

Angel gone... when her brother wants the toy!

Love the look! It's like she's saying..."who me?"

Playing with the shopping carts. Piper has both of them. Don't think this is going to work out!

Poor Tristan just wants to push his shopping cart!

Frustration!

I quit!

Before and afters

I have been a very bad blogger. The only excuse I can come up with is very lame, but the truth. Life with twins is very busy. I have been trying to take lots of photos, but their never seems to be time to bet them downloaded. Any way such is life. Here are a few before and after photos. Before - looking out the window at a beautiful winter day and after getting to help daddy shovel the walk.

Piper can now put her own hat on! She loves putting it on and having her jacket on!

Piper loves chocolate pudding! Can you tell? LOL

Bath time with bubbles and duckie!

Fun at the dinosaur park!

Today was a very snowy day, but we decided to head to the CrossIron Mall for lunch and some fun in the Dinosaur Park. The twins love to climb, run and play in the park. It was really awesome today because it wasn't very busy.

Love the concentration!

Hurray up Piper your brother is on your tail!

I will get to the top first!

More with Andrew and Opa's B-Day

Today was Opa's 86th Birthday Party. His actual birthday is tomorrow, but we celebrated it to day. The twins were very happy to get some more time with their cousin Andrew. Piper even let Andrew pick her up which can be very unusual.

What a delicious cake Granny made for Opa!

Piper love, love, loves chocolate ice cream!
Tristan loves cake!

Cousin Andrew finally meets the twins!

Finally Cousin Andrew has met the twins! As Andrew said, "I can't believe it has been so long". Me neither, but I am very glad he made the drive down to Acme with his girlfriend Brie. Andrew and Brie arrived just after bath time, just in time for play time. The twins had a blast playing lego, cars, and tea party with Andrew and Brie. More fun will be in store for tomorrow I'm sure at Opa's b-day party!
